Students Of Another Realm is a program that uses research-based methods to teach students who are struggling in the classroom. The goal of the SOAR classes is to create rigorous academics in multisensory ways in order to bridge students back into the regular classroom.
The SOAR Program (Students Of Another Realm) is designed to support students who are experiencing challenges in the classroom by using research-based, multisensory teaching methods.
Its primary goal is to provide rigorous academic instruction tailored to individual learning needs, helping students build confidence and skills so they can successfully transition back into the regular classroom environment.
Students may be recommended for the SOAR Program through placement testing or by a classroom teacher who identifies areas of academic struggle. Once a student is evaluated and meets program guidelines, the SOAR Director and teacher meet with parents to review the student’s needs, discuss intervention strategies, and explain the structure and expectations of the SOAR classes.
SOAR classes are available for students beginning in 1st grade and require an additional fee to cover specialized materials and instructional support. Early intervention has proven especially effective, with many students demonstrating significant academic growth and successfully returning to the traditional classroom after completing the program.
Students may be referred to the SOAR Program through placement testing or teacher recommendation, followed by an evaluation to determine eligibility.
Families then meet with the SOAR team to review the student’s needs, intervention plan, and program details. Available starting in 1st grade, the program includes an additional fee and has a strong record of helping students build skills and successfully transition back to the regular classroom.
